CEO, ITC Packaging & Business

S N Venkataraman (Venky), currently is the Chief Executive of Packaging & Printing Business (PPB) of ITC Limited. 

He has been closely associated with the Paper Boards & Specialty Papers Division (PSPD) for over three decades. He was the Executive Vice President – Marketing & Commercial of PSPD before assuming charge as CE – Packaging & Printing Business (PPB). Venky in his PSPD stint along with his team worked closely with FMCG, Pharma, Food and other packaged goods companies in meeting brand packaging requirements by bringing world-class products to the Indian market and propelling ITC PSPD to a leadership position. 

He was instrumental in piloting the sustainability initiatives of PSPD and initiated the membership of ITC into WWF-GFTN India and further FSC certifications for products and the wood plantations. Further, he played a key role in development of CII Greenco and the GreenPro standards for paper packaging. Venky was the convenor of State Council for CSR at CII Telengana and was Chairman to Advisory Board of Indian Institute of Packaging, Hyderabad. 

An avid photographer and wildlife enthusiast, Venky loves playing and following Cricket, Badminton and Hockey. Besides, his other passions include finding out what makes teams tick, travel, exploring the digital world and building the necessary connections to further sustainable packaging. 

The Packaging and Printing Business (PPB) is a longstanding leader in the Indian packaging industry and with a major presence in Paperboard based packaging and a sizeable flexible packaging business. It and has four State-of-the-Art ISO/IQRS certified Plants at Tiruvottiyur in Chennai, Munger in Bihar, Haridwar in Uttarakhand and Nadiad, Gujarat and is a member of the coveted International Packaging Group and International Flexible Packaging Network and a recipient of several World Star, India Star and Print Week Awards.
