Executive Vice President, MCU/MPU Engineering, NXP Semiconductors

Pankaj Kukkal is executive vice president of MCU/MPU Engineering for NXP Semiconductors. In this role, he is responsible for leading microcontroller and microprocessor engineering for the company, focused on accelerating our MME journey towards world-class digital SoC engineering for the company, partnering closely with our Automotive Processing, Radio Frequency Processing and Secure Connected Edge business line teams and Chief Technology Office in defining and executing the roadmaps needed to best serve our customers. Pankaj is an experienced senior leader with demonstrated success in driving complex engineering projects and accelerating business results, with a background in hardware and software engineering, system design for emulation and prototyping, VLSICAD and validation.

Prior to NXP, Pankaj held executive leadership and engineering positions at Qualcomm and Intel, along with design engineer positions at startup Knowledge Based Silicon Corporation and Ricoh Electronics, Inc.

Education
Pankaj earned his Bachelor of Technology in electrical engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, and his Master of Science in computer engineering from the University of South Carolina-Columbia. Pankaj was a member of the Rady School of Management leadership program at the University of California, San Diego, and participated in the Leading for Extraordinary Results program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
